About
I am an artist and Lecturer in Information Studies in the School of Humanities, at the University of Glasgow.
Through my research, I try to understand the interplay between everyday experiences of using digital media with the popular discourses and fantasies that animate contemporary digital culture. My current projects focus on the politics, discourses, and practices of location in digital media.
My teaching specialization is in critical studies of information, technology and media, with additional expertise in creative methods. In my teaching, I focus on facilitating students’ processes of self-reflection in order to apply anti-racist, anti-colonial, and trans-feminist lenses to a critical analysis of socio-technical systems.
Before joining the University of Glasgow, I was a SSHRC* Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Information Studies, University College London (UCL). I received my PhD in Information Studies from the University of Toronto.
